NATURAL GAS – CONDENSING BOILERS
These are by far and away the most popular boiler in the UK and are available in 3 different types; combi, regular and system. The cheapest boiler to install is a combi, a combi boiler heats hot water on demand and as such doesn’t require any remote storage tanks in the loft or a hot water store. Because the installation is simpler labour costs are reduced resulting in a cheaper installation, ranging from £1,500 to £3,000 for a 1-3 bed property. Where the property size increases so does the cost- a property that has more than a few bedrooms or a couple of bathrooms will require a systemboiler which stores hot water, this allows for a larger supply, for example if two showers were running at once. These types obviously cost more due to the greater complexity of pipework and can range in price from £2,500 – £5,000, again it depends on what is included so check that your comparing like for like with any quotes.
